Week of December 1-5, 2014

Welcome back from your Thanksgiving Holiday break! I hope you had a wonderful Holiday and had plenty of rest.  Now, let's get back into gear to finish off the last three weeks of the semester strong!!!

This week in Reading we will be finishing the novel "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" by John Boyne.  We will also be working with many different literary devices such as: flashbacks; protagonist vs. antagonist; symbolism; and irony.

REMINDERS:

• Progress reports will be issued this week.
• Chapters 13-20 discussion questions will be due Monday, December 8th.
• You will need to read a chapter every night this week. 
• This weekends homework is to read chapters 17-20.
• Quiz on chapters 11-14 on Thursday!
• Bring your novel to class everyday!!!
