Week of May 1-5, 2017

Welcome to another week at Ac2E Middle School. It's crunch time! Only FIVE more instructional days are left until we take our STAAR assessments in 7th grade MATH and READING.  This week in 7th grade reading we will be reviewing everything we have learned throughout the entire year in order to prepare for the upcoming STAAR assessment.  We will be working on a STAAR practice test as a class and clarify any questions we might have about a specific topic.  We will also continue to read our new novel "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" by J.K. Rowling.  We need to make sure we bring our book to class!!!!

Week of April 10-13, 2017

Welcome to another great week at Ac2E Middle School! This week in 7th grade Reading we will continue to read our novel 'I Am Malala' and homework will be given on Monday and it will be due on Thursday.  We will also be working in our interactive notebooks with non-fiction text structures.  I know this week is a short week due to the Easter Holiday but I encourage everyone of my students to come to school everyday! Let's have an awesome week!!!

Week of April 3-7,2017

Welcome to another fantastic week at Ac2E Middle School.  I would like to congratulate all of my 7th grade students for having tremendous success in our Reading District Benchmark #2, 99% passing and 43% level III is something to be very proud of.  Now that we only have 23 instructional days left until the Reading STAAR exam we need to work harder than ever to reach our goal of 100% passing and 50% level III.  We are almost there and I know we can do this together!!!!

This week in 7th grade reading we will continue reading our novel 'I am Malala'.  We will read part three.  You will get the part three questions on Monday and they will be due on Friday! While you are reading the novel I want you to put yourself in Malala's shoes, how would you feel if you were in her situation and was not allowed an education just because you are a girl?

Remember that Friday is the last day of the Six Weeks and you need to turn in any late assignments if you have any by then.  Let's have a great week!
