Week of November 9-13, 2015

       Welcome to another great week at Ac2E Middle School.  I am extremely happy to say that my 7th grade Reading students scored a 97% passing on the 7th grade Reading District Benchmark.  It is only November and all of my students surpassed my expectations.  I cannot wait to see what the 7th graders can show me throughout the rest of the school year.
       This week we will continue to read 'The Boy in the Striped Pajamas' by John Boyne.  We will be reading every night this week including the weekend in order to finish this novel before the Thanksgiving Holiday.  We have learned that Bruno is oblivious to everything going on around him (concentration camps).
       We will also be working on different reading concepts such as; Point of View, Theme, and Types of Characters.  We will be using different kids of graphic organizers and foldable activities in our interactive notebooks.

     Welcome to another fabulous week at Ac2E Middle School.  This week will be a very busy week for all students especially 7th graders.
     In 7th grade Reading we will finish taking our final exam on the novel 'The Outsiders' we will also begin a new novel, 'The Boy in the Striped Pajamas' by John Boyne.  Everyone must have this novel no later than Tuesday, October 20, 2015!

Week of October 5-9, 2015!

     Welcome to the 2nd Six Weeks FALCONS!!!! All of my 7th graders did an awesome job during the 1st Six Weeks, I hope this dedication and excellence continues throughout the rest of the school year!!!

    Last week in 7th Grade Reading we finished reading the novel 'The Outsiders' by S.E. Hinton, what did you all think?  Was it worth reading? Did the ending leave you wanting more? I hope all of you enjoyed the book as much as I do and I hope you add this novel to your favorite books list!

    This week we will be watching the film version of the novel.  After watching the film we will be comparing and contrasting the novel and the film.  We will also be introduced to the different types of conflicts and applying them to the novel.
